BIG Athletes: Tim Tebow Understands the “Bigger Picture”

He won the Heisman Trophy as a sophomore and national championships as a freshman and a junior. But if you ask University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, now a senior, to discuss what motivates him he talks about his faith and orphans in the Philippines.
The New York Times published a great article about Tebow in its 2009 College Football Preview in August. We think it’s great story about a BIG athlete — someone who finds fame and glory on the playing field but who defines himself by the bold, innovative, and generous things he does off the field.
As Florida football coach Urban Meryer says in the video below, “He has an appreciation for understanding the bigger picture.”
